State’s professional firefighters unite behind Treasurer Meier’s record of conservative fiscal stewardship and financial growth.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Wyoming State Treasurer Curt Meier’s campaign for re-election gained more momentum this week after receiving official endorsements from the Federated Fire Fighters of Wyoming (FFFWY I.A.F.F. A-48), its political action committee FFFWY FirePAC, and the Cheyenne Firefighters IAFF L-279. The organizations represent Wyoming’s career firefighters, advocating for public safety, firefighter wellness, and strong community protections across the Equality State.

The endorsements reinforce the campaign’s core message — “Don’t Mess With Success” — by highlighting Treasurer Meier’s proven ability to deliver unprecedented financial growth for Wyoming taxpayers. Under his leadership, total assets managed by the Treasurer’s Office have expanded from less than $20 billion to more than $35 billion.

This disciplined approach to investment management produced a historic $1.857 billion in earnings for Wyoming’s budget last year alone. For the first time in state history, investment income surpassed traditional mineral revenues to become the single largest revenue source supporting Wyoming’s schools, highways, and essential local services — all without raising taxes on Wyoming families.

“The Federated Fire Fighters of Wyoming I.A.F.F. A-48 has proudly endorsed your campaign for State Treasurer,” said Kevin J. Reddy, President of FFFWY and Chairman of FFFWY FirePAC. “The FFFWY represents Wyoming’s career firefighters and advocates for their safety, benefits, services, and public safety. We appreciate your willingness to listen to our concerns and issues. We look forward to working with you as Wyoming’s State Treasurer.”

In accepting the endorsement, Treasurer Meier expressed deep gratitude for the support of first responders who put their lives on the line for Wyoming communities every day.

“I am truly honored to have the support of the Federated Fire Fighters of Wyoming and Cheyenne Firefighters Local 279,” Treasurer Meier said. “Our firefighters dedicate their lives to protecting our homes, families, businesses and communities. As State Treasurer and a member of the Wyoming Retirement System Board of Directors, my solemn obligation is to protect their retirement security and ensure Wyoming’s financial foundation remains solid for those who serve us so faithfully.”

The endorsement by Wyoming’s firefighters adds to a broad and growing coalition of major labor, industry, and economic organizations backing Treasurer Meier’s campaign. His re-election effort is supported by top organizations across key sectors, including the Wyoming Mining Association, Wyoming REALTORS®, Associated General Contractors of Wyoming, Wyoming Hospitality & Travel Coalition, Wyoming Coalition for a Healthy Retirement, Wyoming Public Employees Association PAC, ONEOK Employees PAC, and PacifiCorp–Rocky Mountain Power PAC.

The Wyoming Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, August 18.
